Needs Overseas Outreach Program

What will you do for your red, white, and blue?

Welcome to the feedback page! Here you will find feedback from sponsors like you and from our soldiers overseas.

"It's awesome!  It's great that you guys are doing the care package stuff. I've had a couple different people out here tell me about it and say its pretty cool. Their day seemed to be a little lifted from the encouragement." -PFC, Michael Underwood, Camp Striker

"I received your care package about two days ago.  Thank you for everything you sent.  It brings us soldiers great joy to see that America still supports the troops. I know a lot of soldiers around here need baby wipes and face wipes because access to water is not easy.  I appreciate everything you have done for the soldiers." -PFC Josh Bustamante

"Thank you for the gifts we soldiers out here really appreciate when people back home show us how much they appreciate the hardwork we're doing over here trying to help make the world a safer place. Hope everything back home is good, take care and stay safe. God Bless America!"
 -Specialist Armand J. Reynolds

Dear Families and Friends of Alpha Company,

The weather is starting to warm up and  the Americans just keep pushing on. As we move into the month of May the heat has us drinking lots of water, but it doesn’t stop us from doing what we do best. Supporting the RAKKASANS, as 1st Platoon puts it “its what we do.”

That’s what they do indeed. Everything the Americans touch or do is a success story. We are now wrapping up and putting the finishing touches on some of our new additions to the Motor Pool and the Supply Support Activity (SSA) yard. The “Locker Room” (see picture below) was built by our handy carpenters in the company. This building was built right next to our motor pool to give Soldiers a place to get out of the weather and conduct their mission rehearsals before going outside the wire. We call it the “Locker Room” because this is where the Soldiers put their game faces on and get focused on the combat logistical patrol they are getting ready to conduct. As you can see from the pictures the Locker Room turned out great.

We also have added a warehouse (see picture to the right) and did some rearranging of our SSA yard.  The end state for the transformation was to make the yard more efficient for customers and to keep our Soldiers from having to work as hard. With a little help from contracting and Soldiers’ sweat the yard is just about finished. You would not believe the improvement it has made to our SSA operations. On top of that the yard looks ten times better than what we fell in on when we got here.

The bottom line is your Soldiers continue to make us proud. 1SG and I are blessed to have Soldiers who take pride in their work and do it so well.  With hard work comes promotions and we had a few this month that we want to recognize. They are listed to the right.

We have wonderful news from home that we want to share with everyone. SPC Randall Douglas and Kim had a baby girl, Kamryn Rose Douglass. SPC Trevor Elliot and Allegra had their little girl, Evelyn Lee Elliott. Both babies are healthy and doing well. We want to congratulate them on their new additions to their families. We are certainly happy for them.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lozeau and Crane families for the awesome T-shirts they had made and sent to us here. We wear them proudly and are the envy of everyone around us.  Thanks again to for all time and effort you put into the shirts.

The support of families and friends back home continue to amaze us everyday. I have never seen so many care packages and letters. Your love and support is phenomenal. You must know that we could not do this with out you. Thank you for being the biggest source of motivation for these dedicated Soldiers. Again, we miss and love you all.

      Sincerely,

CPT Thomas R Boland      1SG Loneal Blevins Jr.
